Sustaining Places is maintained by the University of Delaware’s Museum Studies and Public Engagement Program. Founded in 1972, it is among the oldest programs of its kind in the United States, with nearly one thousand alumni working in museums, libraries, archives, parks, and related institutions and organizations across the country and around the world.
Every fall, as part of the Program’s mandatory course on administration and management, graduate students update one or more sections of the site. During the rest of the year, the site is maintained by the Program’s staff and faculty.
Below is a list of the site’s major sections and when they were most recently updated. Please visit the University of Delaware Museum Studies Program website if you are interested in applying or just learning more about it.
